Star Bank Poultry also like to produce excellent strains of birds for the general public to admire which all start from hatching our very own fertile eggs and raising them for numerous weeks until we determine the standard of egg colour and profile of the bird.
Hatching
Hatching there are 2 ways of hatching fertile eggs. Natural hatching using a broody hen and artificial hatching using incubation equipment both are very different.
Raising
Raising chicks from 6-8 weeks is a crucial period especially when hatched by artificial process (incubation) chicks need to be kept under heat until at least 6 weeks.
